Devi chanting slokas and mantras is recognised as the most effective method to access the divine feminine energy during Navratri.
Here, one can find not only the seven but also an extremely powerful group of slokas to be recited.
Devi Slokas For Devi Blessings
1. Durga Ma Mantra
This is one verse of the very vivid and whole mantra that depicts the Goddess as the most beautiful and the one who satisfies all desires.
Slokam:
Sarva Mangala Mangalye, Shive Sarvartha Sadhike, Sharanye Trayambake Gauri, Narayani Namostute.
Meaning: Greetings to Her who is the holiest of all that are holy, the consort of Lord Shiva, the one who accomplishes all goals. O Gauri, the mother of the three worlds, I salute you.
2. The Navarna Mantra
One is a powerful nine-syllable bija mantra, which names the three forms of the Goddess (Mahakali, Mahalaxmi, and Mahasaraswati) as the subject.
Slokam:
Om Aim Hreem Kleem Chamundaye Vicche.
Meaning: It refers to the one-syllable mantra of the three Goddesses invoked for protection, wisdom, and wealth.
Note: To chant this mantra, you need guru upadesh
3. The Universal Devi Mantra
The chant depicts the Goddess as one with all creatures.
Slokam:
Ya Devi Sarva Bhuteshu Shakti Rupena Samsthita, Namastasyai Namastasyai Namastasyai Namo Namah.
Meaning: Worship to the Goddess who is the divine power incarnate in all beings. I bow to her once again and again.
4. The Mantra of Courage and Victory
The mantra of the brave and the victors is the loudest screaming that calls out the terrifying forms of the Goddess so that the enemy, along with fear, is destroyed by the hands of victors.
Slokam:
Om Jayanti Mangala Kali Bhadrakali Kapalini, Durga Kshama Shiva Dhatri Swaha Swadha Namo’stute.
Meaning: Salutations to the Goddess who is ever-victorious and the auspicious one, the one who protects from fear and grants forgiveness.
5. Mantra for Protection from Enemies and Obstacles
This chant is said to turn the devotee into a divine armour that protects him from all evil forces.
Slokam:
Sarva Badha Vinirmukto Dhan Dhanya Sutaanvitah, Manushyo Matprasaden Bhavishyati Na Sanshayah.
Meaning: Unshackled from all adversities, with riches, grains, and offspring, a human will be made virtuous by my grace. This is for sure.
6. Mantra for Health and Prosperity
The one who recites this chant is certainly the one who yearns for his/her good health, for a joyful life, and for one’s prosperity.
Slokam:
Dehi Saubhagyam Aarogyam Dehi Devi Param Sukham, Rupam Dehi Jayam Dehi Yasho Dehi Dwisho Jahi.
Meaning: O Goddess, make me fortunate, healthy, and give me supreme happiness. Give me beauty, victory, and fame, and kill off my enemies.
7. Mantra for the Nine Forms (Navadurga)
This short chant is a simple way to express devotion to all nine forms of the Goddess throughout Navratri.
Slokam:
Om Aim Hreem Kleem Maha Saraswati, Mahalakshmi, Maha Kali Durgaye Namah.
Meaning: This prayer calls for the union of three main Goddesses to be followed by the ultimate Goddesses and then to receive the collective blessings of all.
