How to celebrate the last 3 days of Devi Navratri

The last three days of Navratri are the deepest and the most fascinating as they represent the very end of the performance, and simultaneously, the victory feast.

Those days are the most intense of Goddess Durga as they tell the final battle between good and evil and, finally, the triumph of the former.


Day 7: A Saptami Day – Goddess Kaalratri

Date: 20-09-2025 :  Moola Nakshatram 

Worship: The main point of attention ought to be on Goddess Kaalratri, the fearsome figure who destroys darkness and ignorance.

Also, Worship Maa Saraswathi for gnananam / Vidya / Education and Enlightenment 

Ritual: Performing the daily puja, with jaggery offered as the prasad. The day was dedicated to a total giving up of the negative powers and obstacles.

Day 8: An Ashtami Day – Goddess Mahagauri

Date: 30-09-2025  – Durgashtami 

Meaning: This day marks the presence of Goddess Mahagauri, who is the emblem of purity and calmness.

Sandhi Puja: The most revered ritual is done precisely at the time when Ashtami ends and Navami begins.

Kanya Puja/Kanjak: The most holy moment when nine little, virgin, and unmarried girls representing the Goddess are paid the highest respect.

After washing their feet, a special dish made of puri, halwa, and chana is served, and small gifts are given to them as a gesture of blessings.


Day 9: A Maha Navami Day – Goddess Siddhidatri

Date: 01-10-2025 ; Maharnavami 

Worship: The day should be dedicated to Goddess Siddhidatri, who bestows perfection and spiritual powers.

Havan/Yagna: A fire ritual (Havan) is usually made to end the nine days of worship and fast formally.

Astra Puja: People may worship tools, weapons, and vehicles, which are symbols of one’s work being blessed.


Day 10: Vijayadashami / Dussehra – Goddess Durga

Date: 2-10-2025 

Conclusion: The Navratri fast is made to be ended (Paran).

Celebration: This is the final day of the Navratri, when the final victory of Goddess Durga is celebrated as the triumph of good over evil.
