Sexual problems are quite common these days. Many sexual issues are related to the psychological condition of the person. These issues create a feeling of inferiority and embarrassment in a person.

There is no age bar for such problems. In some cases, such disorders are experienced at an early age while in some they occur in old age depending upon the type of disorder one has.

Erectile dysfunction- it is also known as impotence. An inability to have the erection firm enough to carry on sexual intercourse is called erectile dysfunction.
Premature ejaculation: the inability to hold the ejaculation of the semen for not more than 15 seconds during the very beginning of the sexual activity is known as premature ejaculation. They are of two types: Lifelong or primary ejaculation and Secondary or acquired ejaculation.

Physical and Psychological Causes of Sexual Problems:

There are several reasons that are responsible for these disorders. Some of them are discussed below:

Unhealthy lifestyle
Excess consumption of alcohol
Stress
Smoking
Sexually abused in Childhood
Drugs
Injuries
Cardiovascular disease
Diabetes
Anxiety
Cancer

Diagnosis

To diagnose a sexual problem there are several tests that are recommended. In some cases, physical examinations are also the part of the diagnosis. These physical tests are conducted to check whether the problem is due to an injury to the sexual organs. Some of the tests are:

Ultrasound.
Blood test.
Urine test.
ECG.

Medical counselling and consultation are recommended to diagnose a psychological problem.

Treatment
