Here, I will explain a few important insights on wheat-based roti and jowar-based Roti
1. Jowar is a Millet. It is a good source of protein, Fiber, essential minerals like Manganese, Iron, Phosphorus and Potassium
2. Wheat too is a good source of protein, Fiber, Vitamins and Minerals like Vitamin B, Iron, Magnesium, Zinc and Phosphorus.
3. Wheat has Gluten, which is a protein that is absent in Jowar.

The Glycemic Index of whole wheat is 72 and glycemic load is 26.8, whereas the Glycemic index of Jowar is 62 and Glycemic load is 13.4.
5. The Texture of Wheat chapati is soft and easy to chew, whereas the Texture of Jowar roti is Nutty and chewy.

Jowar has more Fiber than Wheat
Approximately 6.7 grams in Jowar and 2.5 grams in Wheat (100 grams )
6. So, ideally, to achieve Weight loss, it is ideal to blend 10 kgs of Wheat flour with 5 Kgs of jowar flour to avail the benefits of both and achieve healthy weight loss.
