What are the different types of Piles?

There are two types of piles, one type occurs on the inside of the body and the other occurs on the outside of the body:

  • Internal piles (hemorrhoids) occur only on the inside of the anus at the beginning of the rectum, this type cannot be seen. Internal piles can push through which can then cause external piles.
  • External piles (hemorrhoids) are found on the outside of the anus, as they protrude out and can occur at the anal opening. Internal and external piles can occur at the same time.
