Hence, it becomes quintessential that everyone is well aware of the dangers caused due to tobacco use. Irrespective of the tobacco product you use, tobacco increases chances of strokes, cancer and heart disease. Smoking of tobacco increases your risk of sinus disease, lung cancer and chronic obstructive lung disease.

    Increases Risk of Cancer among Pipe Smokers

    Contrary to the claims of pipe smokers who boast of not inhaling the smoke, research has revealed that even pipe smokers are at increased risk of throat, lung, larynx, esophagus, colon-rectal and pancreas cancer along with other complicated diseases such as emphysema, coronary artery disease and chronic bronchitis.

    What Does Tobacco Contain?

    It contains nicotine which is considered to be highly poisonous and one of the most addictive drugs around. Nicotine just like amphetamines and cocaine stimulates some part of the brain area. Tolerance to this substance develops very fast, even faster than heroin or cocaine.  The neuro chemicals in the body rapidly adapts to the poison in the tobacco after smoking due to which smoking becomes a necessity even after one trial to feel normal. From here starts the sequence of addiction, which further leads to chain smoking.
